Blanton's Red Takara Japanese Edition is one of the most enigmatic and elusive Bourbons to get your hands on anywhere outside of Japan.

The premium expression is aged for an additional two years beyond the Original Single Barrel Bourbon. The Red Takara Japanese Edition sees a total of 8 years in the barrel, while maintaining the 93 proof.  

This unique process creates a beautiful, warm maple-color bourbon, with notes of deep vanilla, chocolate fudge, and cherry pipe tobacco on the nose. On the first sip you get a deeper and richer version of Blanton's core with creamy notes of brown butter and clove. It then opens up to marmalade, toffee, and wild honey. The finish is long with peaches and cream.
